Tell us about who is involved in the business?

Richard and Liz, a husband and wife team built, own and run the retreat. We were always interested in nature and off grid living with the comforts of home. We saw an opportunity and took it.  It has grown bigger than our wildest dreams, and hope that it will continue to grow. It was important that we were only 3hrs from Sydney for both family, guests and liz’s continued interest in nursing. This area fit the bill before we even saw how beautiful it was!

What do you offer guests?

We are a glamping facility with four tents sleeping 8 people, with a further option of another 6 beds for friends and family (kids). Breakfast and dinner is included plus the use of all the facilities. This includes a pool and spa, walking trail, firepit, farm animals, outdoor cinema, hammock area and games area. Apart from the food trail, there isn't many other reasons not to stay the whole time!

What are your core business beliefs?

You get rewarded for hard work, and if you are kind and nice to people, animals and nature, they will look after you moving forward.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Great Lakes Food Trail?

Its a fantastic opportunity to be part of a really special community. To share beliefs and passions with like minded people. Getting away from the rat race, slowing down and enjoying the simpler things in life.
